The film crew has filed a complaint with the police alleging that the hard disk containing key scenes from the pan-Indian film ‘Kannappa’ is missing.
It was alleged that the hard disk of the film ‘Lal Salaam,’ starring superstar Rajinikanth and directed by his daughter Aishwarya, was missing and that the film was released without those scenes, which is why the film failed.
In this situation, the film ‘Kannappa,’ which is based on the story of Kannappar, an ardent devotee of the Hindu god Shiva, stars Vishnu Manju in the title role, while Madhu Sarathkumar, Preethi Mukundan, Rahul Ramakrishna, Mohan Babu, Brahmanandan, and others have played roles in the film.
Mohanlal, Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal also played guest roles in the film. The film was scheduled to release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, and English on June 27, but the hard disk containing key scenes and graphics has suddenly gone missing.
It is said that the hard disk was sent by courier from a studio in Mumbai, and the courier named Raghu bought it and gave the parcel to a woman named Saritha. While both these people are currently absconding, the film crew has filed a complaint with the police.
“It seems that this was done deliberately with the intention of not releasing the film,” the complaint states.
