'Madayanai Koottam' and 'Ravana Kottam' director dies suddenly.

The news of the sudden death of director Vikram Sukumaran, who directed films like ‘Madhayanai Koottam’ and ‘Ravana Koottam’, due to a heart attack, has shocked the film industry.

It was learned that Vikram Sukumaran, who hails from Ramanathapuram district, worked as an assistant director to Balu Mahendra and made his directorial debut with ‘Madhayanai Koottam,’ starring Kathir and Oviya, in 2013.

After this film received a good response, he directed the film ‘Ravana Koottam’ in 2023. This film, starring Shanthanu Bhagyaraj, was a great success.

Apart from that, while he has acted in some films, including ‘Polladhavan’ and ‘Kodiveeran’, it is said that he had gone to narrate a story with a producer in Madurai yesterday and was returning to Chennai by bus after narrating the story when he suddenly suffered a chest pain.

Following this, he was immediately taken to the hospital, where he was given intensive treatment but died without any results.

It is said that his body has now been brought to Chennai, and the film industry is paying tribute. Actor Shanthanu has expressed his condolences on his X page for the demise of Vikram Sukumaran.
