The recently released film ‘Tourist Family’ was a huge success, grossing over Rs. 75 crore. Not only that, the film is currently available on Hotstar OTT and is also receiving a good response there.

In this context, the song ‘Malaiyuru Nattamaai’ from the film ‘Malaiyur Mampattiyan’ directed by Thiagarajan was used in this film. As the song is trending again among the people, Thiagarajan recently expressed his opinion on this in an interview.

“The film crew did not get any permission from me for using the song from the film ‘Malaiyur Mampattiyan’ in the film Tourist Family. But at the same time, I am not going to file a case and I am not going to ask for money. And I am the one who has to pay the money to the ‘Tourist Family’ film crew! After many years, they have brought this song to the people. That has made me happy. I will not ask for copyrights.

Not only this song, but whoever uses any song in my film, I will not ask for copyrights,” he said.

After Ilaiyaraaja sent a notice that his song was used in the film ‘Good Bad Ugly’, Thiagarajan’s fans are praising him after he said with a very broad mind that he will not ask for copyrights for his song.
