The recently released film ‘Maaman,’ starring actor Soori, has been well received, and the cinema owners and distributors are saying that the film is doing a satisfactory job.
In this situation, while some people are recording that they are downloading the film illegally online and watching it, Soori expressed his regret about this and requested they not do such a thing. Regarding this, he said on his X page:
A film is not just entertainment… it is a combination of the dreams and hard work of many people.
This speech is not just for my film. Behind every film, there is the work, sacrifice, faith, and concern of more than a hundred people.
When a film is made, it is like the birth of a child. Starting from the story, shooting, background work, editing, music, and advertisements, every stage is built with a mixture of emotions and unwavering determination.
Whether a film wins or loses… it is a journey. Pains, joys, and hopes are all mixed in that journey. After all this effort, when some people download and watch movies illegally on the internet and share them proudly, it breaks our hearts. For that one ‘view,’ we are destroying someone’s years of hard work.

Downloading movies illegally without respecting such selfless work is not only illegal; it is also an act of abandoning humanity.
