Kamal refuses to apologize despite being asked by the Karnataka High Court - What is the judge's order

The petition filed by Kamal Haasan seeking permission to screen the film ‘Thug Life’ in Karnataka and security at the theatres where the film will be screened came up for hearing in the Karnataka High Court.

Then the judge asked, “What kind of language researcher is Kamal? What evidence do you have to prove that Kannada was born from Tamil?” and said, “This problem is yours. So, apologize and end this problem.” After this, it was said, “This case will resume at 2.30 pm.”

When the case resumed, “Kamal Haasan is not going to apologize,” his lawyers said. In addition, Kamal’s side informed the court, “We are postponing the release in Karnataka for a week only.”

Following this, the judge said, “The Karnataka Film Chamber, the Karnataka government and Kamal Haasan’s side should also hold talks,” and adjourned the hearing of the case until June 10.
