While the DMK and its allies have been harshly criticizing Vijay’s Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam party, Kamal Haasan has not criticized the party, even though Makkal Needhi Maiam is one of the parties in the alliance.
Kamal Haasan, who is busy with the promotions of Mani Ratnam’s film ‘Thug Life,’ starring Kamal Haasan, met reporters at the Chennai airport today. He said that he is planning to go to Dubai from Chennai via Malaysia and will be going for the promotion of ‘Thug Life’.
At that time, when asked about being elected as a Rajya Sabha MP, he said, “The impartial voice of Tamils will now sound in Parliament” and “I will act as the voice of the center and a voice that asserts the fair rights of the Tamil people.”
Also, when asked about Vijay’s new political party, Tamil Nadu Vetri Kazhagam, he said, “Since I belong to a new party, I cannot criticize other new parties.”
